BeARTENDER - RECIPE

Ramón “Monchito” Marrero claims he created the Piña Colada in 1954 when he was a bartender in Caribe Hilton. After 3 months of experimenting he finished the finale recipe: the nature and pure essence of Puerto Rico in a glass… 35 years after its creation he got an appreciation when the state Puerto Rico declared the Piña Colada as the national drink in 1978. After tasting this drink, Hollywood legend Joan Crawford said: “It was better than slapping Bette Davis in the face.”
